The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announces a grand opening for its new downtown Silvis office as it moves from its longtime Moline location to provide more space for community events and business meetings.
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Moves From Moline to Silvis
The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce celebrates its relocation to a new downtown Silvis office with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 22.
The chamber announced the move from its longtime Moline location to a new 4,000 square foot office at 908 1st Avenue in downtown Silvis. The former office space on 709 4th Avenue in Moline was less than 1,000 square feet.
Executive director Jesse Noriega announced the office move last August during the chamber's After Hours: Culture and Connection Mixer at the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport.
This is more than a grand opening — it is a celebration of our community, our culture, and the incredible business spirit right here in the Quad Cities. The quote comes from a message posted on the chamber's Facebook page.
The larger Silvis building will provide enough space for future mixer events, business meetings and social gatherings. Planning for the chamber's relocation to Silvis has been in the works for months.
During the GQCHCC's social mixer in April of 2025, Silvis Mayor Robert Cervantes told the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal that the chamber was making plans to move to his community.
The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22. The event has free admission and is open to the public. The ribbon-cutting event will be presented by the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The celebration will also include refreshments.
Community Impact
The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce serves as a vital organization for Hispanic businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Quad Cities region. The chamber's move to Silvis represents growth and continued investment in the local Hispanic business community.
Silvis Mayor Robert Cervantes had previously told the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal during the April 2025 social mixer that the chamber was making plans to move to his community.
The chamber's office has been located at 709 4th Avenue in Moline for many years before relocating to the new 908 1st Avenue location in downtown Silvis.
